A brilliantly-designed model that looks like a mini A8 but not as good to drive as an A8
All new Audi A6 saloon looks like the smaller version of the larger A8. Its L trim sizes not less than A8, A4’ M trim, and almost equal to the A3’s S variation in the market. The German automaker says that the Audi A6 is a multi-talented luxury saloon and it loves to have sportiness, comfort and bold styling.
The all-new Audi A6 is based on the same structure which has been used by the A8 and larger variations of the A4. Almost everything is available in the A6 that Audi A8 uses but fancy AL autonomy. It has a futuristic interior, semi-hybrid system on the engine to facilitate the fuel economies, it allows engine coasting even on 99 miles per hour. Inside the cabin, the new model has 2 touch screens and an MMI Touch system. This is one of the most modern digital assistants like systems and will be introduced on all models later.
At the competition table, Audi A6 faces BMW 5 series, which is far better to ride than the A6. Mercedes E-Class and Volvo S90 are also in the main competition. All these three competitors are exclusively excellent cars and the A6 has a lot to travel before it can beat them in the market. If it is just a ride, BMW 5 series and the Volvo S90 are ahead of the competition and they lack in several other areas. However the A6 can’t beat them by just being a good car, it needs to be really good to beat the competition but if automaker thinks that it is enough that they are in competition then it would be a bad thought anyways.
The newer version is even bigger than the previous version it is replacing and there are a number of A4 and A8 coming with the same design, they can further push the A6 back.
Audi A6 engines
There is nothing like the A7 and A8 that you can choose any option between engines, there are only 3.0-Litre six-cylinder engines where it offers one petrol version and a diesel unit. The petrol engines called 55 TFSI and diesel version called 50 TDI in the market. However, the Audi A6 diesel engine gets the seven-speed transmission. It is dual clutch S Tronic version of the gearbox. However, the diesel engine comes with an eight-speed transmission. Both have all-wheel drive Quattro system and the petrol engine has the ability to uncouple the rear wheels in all-wheel-drive version to achieve the better fuel economy. Audi A6 also comes with a 2.0 Litre diesel option called 40 TDI and comes with Quattro and seven-speed transmission.
Audi A6 3.0 Litre diesel engine under 45 TDI tag is a less powerful version of the powertrain lineup and it is being offered to different markets than the UK. A plugin hybrid is coming soon with 2.0 Litre petrol engine.
All three engines are equipped with engine coasting technology for better performance and excellent fuel economy. These engines offer engine off coasting between 34 to 99 miles per hour. All engines also have an engine start / stop technology. All these engine technologies are exclusively smooth and excellent to facilitate the Audi A6 engines. In the aftermarket sales and services, there would be an easy availability of Audi A6 recon engines and in the UK one can easily buy a recon Audi A6 engine for their older models.
